Living in a port town provides lots of opportunities to view sails. Intrigued by the half circle, the incomplete journey, the open adventure of riding on water…these paintings depict an altered landscape, replete with hills, open water, masts, with grounding and guiding buoys to mark the way.

This series continues the exploration of copper leaf and has a sculptural/drawing element as the layers of paint are carved and scraped away and thick lines are used for winding borders outlining the shimmering and dreamy plains of color. *Artwork available for sale is indicated by (*).
